Does my Brother have amnesia or something worse?

My Brother fell out of bed about 2 hours ago from a nap and hit his head on his dresser. He said he passed out for just a couple of minutes and then woke up. He actually woke up laughing. He seemed fine and communicated just like normal. He went outside and complained of it being extremely bright. That was the only thing and now it is getting a little more worrisome. He asked me when his birthday is, what street we live on, what our Mom's name was. Is he gradually getting amnesia? Should we take him to the hospital?Does my Brother have amnesia or something worse?
I really don't think so. I think he can see you're worried and he's acting to get attention. Though, if he really starts to ask weird things and his speech is affected, then you should go to the hospital. You see, the brain is a very complicated structure and just a tiny bump on the wrong place can cause terrible results. If you can see he looks weird, then consult your parents and get him to the emergency room. Also, tell him that acting won't work and you'll take him to the doctor if he isn't back to normal in a few seconds. You don't say how old he is and age can be a huge factor. If he's under 16, get him to the doctor asap. But, children under 16 also love attention and love to act and cause a scene, so that could also be a issue. You decide.
