a few stories that come though my family past says that there is a series of illegal drugs that can wipe a mind clean. few people found wondering the streets lost and one that arrived back home after missing almost 30 years with a note pinned to their shirt saying they were found out in cali like that.
but you would almost have to die to get there and those people were barley functional, they had to be taken care of the rest of their lives which wasn't very long after they were found.
the more safer way of going about such a thing would be hypnosis. but you would have to create a mental break to do so. the mind does it sometimes to protect itself so i know it is possible. the only question is if you can make the mind forget something it doesn't want to?
