Whats a good realistic way to get amnesia?

Im writing a story about it. What is a good realistic way to get anterograde amnesia (when u lose memory like every 15 minutes or everyday)?Whats a good realistic way to get amnesia?
A traumatic event (ie watching someone murder your mom) or a severe head trauma (car accident, concussion, falling on the concrete, the list is endless here). These can causes amnesia. Seizures can induce brain damge as well and they don't just pertain to epileptic paitents. So a seemingly healthy person can have one or it can be caused by drugs (illegal and legal).
Any kind of head trauma will do it. My psych professor knew a car crash victim with anterograde, my grandfather once had a patient with anterograde who had fallen off a ladder, etc.

I know it sounds kind of cliche, but it's true.

Edit: What I mean is any method of hitting your head. The brain damage has to be pretty specific, though.Whats a good realistic way to get amnesia?
Serious Car Crash, Plane Crash, and kind of crash.

Maybe getting hit on the head. Like if they like golf, someone hit them with a golf club?

Maybe the person fell down the stairs and hit their head.

Or an animal attack. Like a moose hit him with his antlers.

Hope this helps! Good luck! Bye!

=)
The most plausible scenario is a severe head injury (like a car accident, getting hit by a 2X4 or catching a rogue nail from a nail gun with your dome)

Don't use this as your own, but you might consider watching the movie 50 First Dates just to see exactly what I'm talking aboutWhats a good realistic way to get amnesia?
A injury that causes significant damage to (or necessitates the removal of) the hippocampus. A car accident, bike accident, etc.
Slip in the shower and hit ones head. This happens more often than you think and is the cause of many accidental deaths.
Getting hit by a car.

...OMG. That just gave me the idea for my prompt! Thank you so much for writing this!
